The name Yu Suzuki has become synonymous with ground breaking games which push the very limits of technology. Whether its the Virtual Fighter series or F355 Challenge, Suzuki has established himself as a pioneer in the video game industry.
There is no better game where this is more evident than the Shenmue series. Back when Shenmue chapter 1 was released in 2000, it amazed gamers with its level of detail, gameplay, and story telling. Never before had a game of this magnitude been seen, and there hasn't been many games released since which match its level of game play.
Everyone who is a fan of the series knows that Shenmue 3 is on the way. What we here at Gamer Play know is that the title is very close to completion. It will be seen on the seventh generation video consoles, which are the Nintendo Revolution, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.
It will also be surprising to many gamers to know that Yu Suzuki will have very little involvement in the project, and that it is being developed by the legendary AM2 team. Suzuki is going on to pursue other projects, which many fans assume is the newest Virtual Fighter game.
The characters have extreme graphical detail. The evidence shows that they contain gigabytes of textures which are uncompressed. The biggest question on everyones mind is which console it will appear one.
Yu Suzuki himself admits that while he respects the power of the Playstation 3, it is also important to have hardware that is easy to work with. With this statement he referred to Xbox 360. He is also impressed with Nintendo's innovation of hardware each generation.
Despite this it is believed by most that Shenmue 3 will follow the path of its predecessor and be released on the Xbox 360 console.
