Tomb Raider: Legend Review
It has been ten years since Tomb Raider first hit the scene, and the gaming world hasn't been the same since. Lara Croft came to the attention of everyone in 1996, and it appears this heroine has been revived. With her full figure and killer attitude, Lara Croft revolutionized the gaming world. The new 3D graphics and camera angles had never before been seen before. Many lara croft wallpapers are also available online.
Many things have happened since Tomb Raider first rose in popularity. It can be argued that the franchise reached its height with the release of the live action movies starring Angelina Jolie. Despite this, sells of the game up to this point have greatly declined. Many fans agree that the titles following Tomb Raider 2 gradually became worse. The last game prior to Tomb Raider: Legend was so horrible that Eidos banned Core from releasing any more titles under the Tomb Raider name.
A new company called Crystal Dynamics has rose to the occasion to bring new life to the series. If you haven't heard of Crystal Dynamics, you have probably heard about or played their landmark title Legacy of Kain. The team at Crystal Dynamics spent a lot of time studying the original Tomb Raider game to see how it could be improved. They took the smart step of hiring Tomb Raider creator Toby Gard to act as a consultant. The lara croft wallpaper at the site is quite impressive.
The features which have been added to Tomb Raider Legend are the things fans have asked for all along. People want a great storyline, and they also want to be able to travel to exotic locations. They also want to be given freedom on moving the character in an acrobatic and fluid manner. There should be challenging puzzles, and the action sequences should also be intense. Many fans have said that Legend if one of the best titles ever created in the Tomb Raider franchise.
Tomb Raider Legend will appear on Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2, and PSP in May. The game starts with Lara and her mother traveling in a small airplane in a remote area. Suddenly the plane crashes, and though both survive, they find themselves in a strange land with mystical ruins. The story is quite engaging, and will capture the attention of players for hours upon end. There are a number of flash backs and cutscenes which are interactive. Despite the many changes which have been made, much of the look and feel of Legend is the same as the original.
